What are Ego-States?
In our everyday lives we take on various roles: parent, spouse, child, teacher, worker, student, etc which are all parts of who we are. Mostly, those “parts” or ego-states are very functional, but when ego-states become dysfunctional, they can create significant challenges and functional obstacles for a person.
What is Ego-State Therapy?
It is normal to switch, sometimes very rapidly, between the many different roles we have to fulfill in our everyday lives. When this switching becomes inadequate, causing disruption in function, Ego-State Therapy is a powerful tool to restore ego-state balance and reduce dysfunctions and distress.

Dr. Frederick is a world-renowned pioneer in the field of Ego-State Therapy, and she has published many books on this and other topics as well as taught around the world.
Workshops in Ego-State Therapy
